FAQ
1. Are Crossover Drives clutches and clutch/brakes drop-in replacements for Warner style units?
Yes. Except for minor differences, Crossover clutches and clutch/brakes are dimensionally and functionally similar to Warner style units.
2. Are the individual clutch components interchangable with Warner style units?
Some components may be interchanged but it is generally not recommended.
3. How is rotation determined?
Always viewed from the input. For ICB and IC units, the input is always the hub. For CD units the input may be the hub or shaft.
4. What is required for an ICB unit to stop consistently and accurately?
Generally, when an ICB unit does not position accurately, there is insufficent motion to fully engage the brake. This problem is resolved by adding mass to the output or increasing the input speed.
5. Can the output of an ICB unit be adjusted?
Yes, Simply loosen the controll collar set screw and rotate the collar where desired.
6. Should an ICB unit be rigidly mounted?
No. The plate holes in an ICB unit are for anti-rotation only.
